Who can actually trade the biggest companies?
Tradable float estimates the share base available to trade in the open market. This view compares that float against reported insider ownership, then groups the result by industry so concentrated ownership patterns stand out.
Methodology
Tradable float percentage is calculated as float shares divided by shares outstanding. Reported insider ownership uses the source insider ownership percentage. Institutional ownership can overlap with tradable float, so it is shown as evidence rather than subtracted unless the holder is strategic, restricted, government, parent-company, affiliate-like, or otherwise excluded by the source definition.
