How Receivership And Bankruptcy Work
The catalog treats a company as discoverable only when a first-party court, regulator, company registry, or issuer filing creates the signal. Secondary writeups, claims-agent pages, and receiver pages can enrich later, but they cannot create rows.
Use the court filing, court order, registry event, or official publication date that starts the legal process. Preserve earlier application dates separately when they matter.

PACER PCL, PACER court polling, OSB BIA, Ontario, BC
PACER Case Locator and court-specific CM/ECF polling need account access, cost controls, and court allowlists. OSB BIA search needs account/payment setup. Ontario and BC are first-party Canadian court sources but remain terms-gated before they can create candidates. Europe and UK gated connectors can stay in the broader source registry without defining the US/Canada phase-one gate.

A register signal is enough to create a candidate. Acquisition deadlines require docket and document extraction where available.

The US/Canada receivership workflow runs hourly and the daily all-data workflow runs the same strict receivership verifier before publishing.
Strict source health
The verifier blocks stale datasets, missing same-date raw snapshots, truncated live sources, and non-first-party evidence.
Remaining gates
The US/Canada production-ready verifier still fails until PACER PCL, PACER court-specific polling/import handoff, OSB BIA search, Ontario, and BC are enabled or cleared. Europe and UK blockers remain visible for later phases.
